What is the difference between D&G and Dolce & Gabbana?

Some people might be confused what is the difference between a D&G and a Dolce & Gabbana frames, they are actually both the same company, Dolce & Gabbana is the more expensive line of glasses and are always made in Italy, Dolce & Gabbana has a cheaper line called D&G, a few are made in Italy, but the majority is made in China for cost reasons.

I know people tend to think products coming out of china is a bunch of junk, but the Ray-Bans made in china is still by them, just one is put together by the Chinese and the other by the Italians.

So how can you tell them apart? By simply looking at the model number, the D&G's will be like this DD 8065 and a Dolce & Gabbbana like this DG 4111, simply look if it says DD or DG.

Also have in mind there is a brand called DG Eyewear, which is misleading, as some people may think DG stands for Dolce & Gabbana which it does not. If you are at there site, at the very bottom, it does have a disclaimer "DG Eyewear ®, Dolce & Gabbana Sunglasses ® and D&G Sunglasses ® are separate trademarked brands. We only sell DG Eyewear® branded sunglasses. If you are looking for Dolce & Gabbana Sunglasses ® or D&G Sunglasses ®, please visit an authorized dealer."

Also their frames only cost like $10-$20, even the cheaper D&G's retail for about $120-$200

So hopefully I clarified what the differences were and now you can be a eyewear nerd just like me.
